SunEnergyXT put to the test: balcony power plant storage with charging station for electric cars
With the BK215, SunEnergyXT (formerly SunLit Solar) offers a balcony power plant storage unit with 2.15 kWh, which can be expanded to up to 8.6 kWh with additional modules. With the optionally available bidirectional inverter EV3600, the storage solution can also be used to charge electric vehicles. Together with the SunEnergyXT storage unit BK215 combined with three expansion units, the solution offers a charging power of 3.6 kW as well as two emergency power sockets. If the EV3600 is connected to the power grid, it even reaches 11 kW. The system also supports island/off-grid operation, ideal for use in a carport.
The editorial team's conclusion: "Anyone looking for an island-capable solution for charging their electric vehicle will find exactly what they need with the flawlessly built and reliable SunEnergyXT solution and the optionally available EV3600 inverter."

SunEnergyXT impresses with modularity and high capacity in Handelsblatt practical test
The Handelsblatt editorial team tested our BK215 PLUS with two B215 PLUS expansion units and the EV3600. In a detailed test report, they describe the installation, app setup, everyday use, and especially the AC charging and emergency power functions. Their final verdict:
"The SunEnergyXT BK215 PLUS with two B215 PLUS units and the EV3600 is aimed at people looking for a balcony power plant storage system with additional system functions. 6.45 kWh, four PV inputs, external microinverters, app, Home Assistant, AC charging, emergency power, and wallbox connectivity form a versatile foundation. The system is particularly interesting for households with regular solar surplus, higher evening consumption, dynamic tariffs, or planned e-mobility.
Technically interested homeowners, workshop users, and households with higher consumption get an expandable platform. Under these conditions, my purchase recommendation is positive, provided that the combination of storage, AC charging, emergency power, and wallbox offers concrete benefit in everyday life."

Flatter, lighter and stronger? COMPUTER BILD tests the SunEnergyXT BK215 PLUS
This is how the editorial team judges the successor to the BK215:
"The SunEnergyXT BK215 Plus is a successful facelift of the well-known balcony power plant storage system. In the practical test, it scored particularly well with lower weight, better handling, MC4 connectors, and high expandability. The dynamic control via smart meter works well in everyday use, but not perfectly with abrupt load changes.
Overall, the system is a good choice for anyone who wants to retrofit an existing balcony power plant with a compatible microinverter or build a flexibly expandable system."

BK215 rated "very good" in comprehensive solar power storage system test
This is how the editorial team of Home & Smart rated our storage unit: "The BK215 storage unit offers an impressive storage capacity of 2.15 kWh, which can be expanded with up to three B215 additional modules to a total of 8.6 kWh, making it one of the absolute top contenders. (...) During our test, all components could be easily plugged together and wired. Additionally, the connection with the manufacturer's app worked significantly faster than with other test storage units. (...) As a supplement to the practical test, we also conducted a brief check of the manufacturer's customer service, contacting them both in writing via email and over the phone. In both cases, we benefited from short response times and encountered friendly staff, which we consider a clear advantage. (...) Due to its ease of use and high storage capacity, we can recommend the BK215 to anyone looking to store a large amount of energy long-term."
The editorial team's conclusion: “An indoor- or outdoor-usable solution for comprehensive power storage.”
